Abstract

Supply chain risks are a widely studied topic, but there is a lack of research in the healthcare sector. The aim of this paper is to review the research that has been carried out on risk assessment models and methods. As supply chain risks increase the vulnerability of the supply chain, it is important to analyse existing research. In this context, new risk assessment models can be developed to prevent potential problems. The literature analysis shows that evaluation models can be categorised into: a) methods for evaluating supply chain processes across the sector; b) models for evaluating internal hospital processes. The methods are chosen taking into account the highest risks and the longest lasting risks. Multi-criteria evaluation approaches are the most studied in the literature.
